Design individual residences to be built ajoining an existing luxury resort in Java, Indonesia.
Solution:
Went to Java and photographically documented the site for Manasara Architects. Together with and as part of the Manasara team, designed and planned out 3 individual 1500m2 villas in 3D Sketchup with Dir. Tom Nursey, that adhere to the existing hotel design language, functioning as privately sold serviced units, placed in the landscape, with a clear view of the nearby Borobudur temple.

Challenge:
Design a number of “playspots” for the outdoor areas at Virup Elementary School, Denmark for MBYland.
Solution:
Come up with and develop a number of playspot designs in 3D in conference with MBYland owner Mette Bruun Yde. The designs focus on inviting the children to active play and breathing new life into the outdoor areas around the school using simple designsoultions. The approved sketch proposals where then passed onto and realized by Park og Landskab entrepreneurs.

Challenge:
Build reservoir landscape and design solution in 3D, make visuals and draw 2D section drawings to illustrate the project and thereby minimize mistakes made on the building site.
Make visualization to use for promotion on the MBYland website.
Solution:
Made 3D model based on measurements provided by local land inspector and existing CAD plan drawings of the design, checking that all design details worked properly when raised from 2D to 3D, and then producing 2D dokumentation sections and visuals from this material.

Challenge:
Design new terrace for a family home in Risskov, Denmark.
Solution:
Talk to client about their needs and what their dream scenario is. Then, taking outset in a previous sketch by MBYland, create a design that is custom fitted to the house and garden, with flowerbeds and generous seating areas, and which incorporates room for a gas-lit open fire, toddler safety-rail around the basement stairwell and an awning (still to be added at this time).
Planks and screw-caps are different wood types to create contrast in the detail, and the planks are all turned in the same direction on decks and steps to give the terrace a unified look.

Challenge:
Design a spa with individual treatment pavilions, to be built on the beach, ajoining an existing luxury resort in Bali, Indonesia.
Solution:
Together with and as part of the Manasara team, went to Bali and documented the site. Designed and planned out a luxury spa in 3D with Dir. Tom Nursey, that adhere to the landscape and existing hotel design language, consisting of individual pavilions for private treatments, placed in a jungle ravine, accessible via a new mountain road and the volcanic beach, making the jungle location part of the overall spa experience.

Challenge:
Design a gallery and office space on a sensitive site, across from the entrance to Frederiksborg Castle, and get building permission from the council after the case had previously stalled for 3 years in Hillerød, Denmark.
Solution:
”Renovated”(read completely re-designed) a 90m2 gallery building from 1938, adhering to the design and size of the original, keeping a couple of good design ideas from previous proposals, updating and customizing it to the clients needs and wishes, to be used initially as his personal workplace, while also keeping in mind future uses of the space.
We also kept a firewall from the old building in order to be allowed to use the original building code and build close to the edge of Hillerød Lake, successfully getting building permission within 4 months.
Then went on to detailing and draw full dokumentation for the build.

Solution:
Together with and as part of the Manasara team, went to Bali and documented the site. Designed and planned out 2 individual 3000m2 luxury villas in 3D sketchup with Dir. Tom Nursey and John McPhail, and did sketch planning for an additional 14 villas with Dir. Tom Nursey, that adhere to the existing hotel design language, functioning as privately sold serviced units, placed on 20 hectares of tropical forest mountainside, with a clear view of the ocean.

Design and get planning permission for £5.2mio. retained facade and new build office and residential building in Mayfair, London, England.
Solution:
Take charge as project architect of planning project, develop and draw plans and facade design for offices and two mews residences and an additional penthouse floor, while retaining an Edwardian heritage facade, in collaboration with S+P associate Matthew Holloway, get information needed from consultants and put together 75 page planning submission document.

Get planning permission for 3mio. sq.ft. project after two other architectural practices had tried for 6 years. Functions including upmarket housing, retail a music library for Trinity College and an extension of the LABAN Dance Centre in Greenwich & Lewisham, London, England.
Solution:
Making a design taking into consideration the demands of two opposing London councils, as part of a two person team, maximizing use of the buildable area, including required affordable housing, the tidal waters of Deptford Creek, heritage protected views from Greenwich Observatory, and protecting and complementing in the designs the very fragile facade of The LABAN Dance Centre by Hertzog and DeMeuron next door, successfully getting planning permission inside of 10 months.

Design store and furnishings for Day Birger & Mikkelsen's men's clothing in Magasin Du Nord department store, Copenhagen.
Design Day fashion fair stands in Forum Copenhagen and Barcelona.
Solution:
Draw up and document in detail in 3D initial design sketches provided by Production Designer Peter Grant, and collaborate with him to produce the final store design and drawings to be used by contractors in Poland for cabinet making done over IKEA standard cabinets, and plaster casting of the Arabian inspired mesh walls.
The design language developed for the store was then re-used to produce and layout stands for fashion fairs in Copenhagen and Barcelona.

Challenge:
Design "Outfitters Nation" stand for Berlin Fashion Fair and bring fresh original ideas, as the client had thought previous stands “too boring”.
Solution:
Made 3 different design proposals, one in line with the brand’s shop design in Odense, and two alternatives. All designs where validated by the pre/early teen target customer group, by getting feedback on them from grade school classes, before presenting them to the client.
Full documentation drawing set and construction manual was then produced for the "Black" concept chosen by the client.

Design a "Modern Ryokan" (modern traditional Japanese guesthouse) set in Yokohama, Japan.

Applied for travel funds and went to Japan. Found a site, obtained local maps and site info. Then developed a design taking it’s outset in traditional Japanese principles for moving through a building and making use of reclaimed land on water, which is in turn relevant to harbor cities around the world.
