Challenge:
Create portrait of imaginary character, dreamed up as a running private joke between my cousin and I, as a personal birthday present.
Solution:
Taking an outset in 18-19th century natural history illustrations of flowers and animals, I created a series of prints of “animal personalities”, emulating classical scientific style with accurate colour drawings and Latin descriptions of the portrayed subject, and gave it a subversive twist.
Skills and Tools:
Photoshop
Image research
A sense of humour

Character description on the graphic:
Panthera Bovis a.k.a. The Cowpard
This rare animal hails from the outer moor in Jutland, and is know for its keen business sense and special talent for infiltration of Copenhagen affairs, due to its unsurpassed ability to sneak unnoticed around the capitol, and its extensive network of underground exile Jutlanders. The Cowpard is sought after for its fair coat with printed black spots, and can best be observed driving around in its private limousine while enjoying a glass of champagne in its natural element.
