Challenge:
Design new terrace for a family home in Risskov, Denmark.
Solution:
Talk to client about their needs and what their dream scenario is. Then, taking outset in a previous sketch by MBYland, create a design that is custom fitted to the house and garden, with flowerbeds and generous seating areas, and which incorporates room for a gas-lit open fire, toddler safety-rail around the basement stairwell and an awning (still to be added at this time).
Planks and screw-caps are different wood types to create contrast in the detail, and the planks are all turned in the same direction on decks and steps to give the terrace a unified look.
